Crowns are restorations that cover or cap
teeth, restoring them to their natural size, shape, and color.
A crown serves the dual purpose of restoring
structural integrity to your tooth and improving its
appearance. It is a good way to correct teeth that are
discolored or badly shaped.
It can also cover and support a tooth in the following situations: where there is not enough tooth left for a filling; to attach a bridge; to protect a weak tooth from breaking and even restore one that is already broken; and to cover a dental implant.
. All-Ceramic Crown
Made of very hard porcelain, this is the
newest and best material to use for tooth colored crowns. It
produces excellent aesthetic results. Contemporary all-ceramic
crowns are exceptionally strong.
. Porcelain Fused
to Metal Crown
This type of crown has been used in
dental practices for a long time. Even though it is tooth
colored, it has a very strong metal core inside. In fact, it
is a little stronger than the all-ceramic crown. It is
possible to reproduce this type of crown in the same colour as
natural teeth because of the porcelain
overlay.

If you have more than one tooth missing, you may notice a difference in chewing and speaking. Bridges help not only in maintaining the shape of your face, but also in alleviating the stress in your bite through the replacement of missing teeth.
Also known as a fixed partial denture, a bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth which look natural and the gap where one or more teeth may have been is literally bridged. Unlike a removable denture, which needs be taken out and cleaned, a fixed bridge does not need to be removed for cleaning.
